Internal tests

The FVI provides somes internal tests to check the fonctionnalities with and without the EUROBALL and FERA equipments. To perform these tests, the FVI must have some bits in the Control and status registers. The test procedure is set or inhibed by a bit in the Control Register. On test the FVI , when the test bit is true can :

  1. For the EUROBALL trigger:
    Simulate FT.
    Simulate VAL.
  2. For the ancillary trigger:
    Simulate TRIG.
    Simulate REJECT.
  3. For the FERA branches:
Simulate REQ for branch 1 and branch 2.
Write data in each FIFO through the VXI bus.
When the test mode is ON, FT, VAL, TRIG, REJECT, REQ1, REQ2 and data from FERA are without effect on the FVI behavior.
