The download contains directories SunOS, Linux and Win each of which contains the corresponding version of the message logger server. The program takes a single (optional) argument which is the name of the (existing) directory in which the log files are to be created. The default is /MIDAS/log for SunOS and Linux and c:\midas\log for Windows.
