Data Readout
The Total Data Readout (TDR) electronics used by GREAT requires a departure from the traditional data readout via the VXI crate backplane and a Readout Controller.
Each VXI ADC card will use a high speed point to point link to transfer the data from the adcs to the Event Builder system. The link interfaces in the Event Builder will be SHARC PMC modules which are sited on single board VME procesor cards (PowerPC).
