Digitizer Select the digitizer you wish to monitor. This will be unique to the Tests screen and not change the selected digitizer elsewhere in the software. Probe Hardware If the selected digitizer is marked in the Configuration screen to require checking on selection (normally because the digitizer hardware is incomplete or under test) you will be prompted to use this function. Can be used at any time to check the digitizer hardware. FPGA Select the Digitizer module to be accessed Input SYNC period The period of the Input SYNC Input SYNC missed counter Update Shows the value of the Input SYNC missed counter. The Update button causes the value of this counter to be updated. This is also done whenever the screen is Reloaded. Show Digitizer SYNC Errors Shows the SYNC error counters for all optical data links (maximum of 38 counters). Clock Source: Set the clock source to Internal or External. Note: At present the value set in the hardware cannot be read to confirm. Shutdown Power: Turns off the power in the digitizer. You will be asked to confirm this action. Warning: There is no method to remotely reenable power to the digitizer once this has been done. Show Status Registers The value of the Status Register for each of the Virtex FPGAs (maximum 7) is shown. Close Xport Connection See also FPGA Programming. The network connection to the ethernet interface (Xport) in the digitizer is closed. This connection is made automatically whenever any request has to be sent to the digitizer and the network connection is not currently active.
