Here is a diagram which shows the components of the data acquisition system and the interconnections. The data flow follows the data links (green) from the VXI crates to the data collector. The data collector transmits data to the data processor via the data network (red). The formatted data is then broadcast via the data network (red) to the tape server where it is written to tape. The user interface, control and online data analysis is from the cluster of workstations and PCs via the control ethernet (orange).
