+widget JOIN
Joins you to the experiment shown in the EXPERIMENT box

The JOIN function causes you to join the chosen experiment. You can only be joined to one experiment at a time so you must leave the current experiment before you can join another.

+widget LEAVE
Leaves your current experiment

The LEAVE function causes you to leave the experiment shown in the CURRENT box.

+widget CREATE
Creates a new experiment with the name shown in the EXPERIMENT box

+widget DELETE
Deletes the experiment shown in the EXPERIMENT box

You cannot delete an experiment that you are joined to or that has resources claimed. First you must free all your resources (from the "Accessing an Apparatus" window) and leave the experiment.

+widget SAVE
Saves the name of the current experiment as your default.

You will automatically be joined to this experiment the next time you start a MIDAS session.

+widget DIRECTORY
This is the directory containing the available experiments

+widget EXPERIMENT
This is the experiment that JOIN, CREATE or DELETE will act on

You can enter a name in this box by typing in it or by clicking on an entry in the list of available experiments

+widget CURRENT
This is the experiment you are currently joined to

+widget INSPECT
Shows the resources of the current experiment

+widget APPARATUS
Opens the "Accessing an Apparatus" window

+widget LIST
These are the available experiments - select or double-click the one you want

A single click on an experiment in this list will enter it into the EXPERIMENT box for use by JOIN, CREATE or DELETE.
Double-clicking an entry will cause you to leave the current experiment, if there is one, and join the selected one.
